Fuel consumption and emission values of Aventador SVJ Roadster- Fuel consumption combined: 11 mpg
There’s only one adjective to describe SVJ Roadster: unrivaled.
Produced in just 800 units, it is the most iconic model of the Aventador family, thanks to its aerodynamic lines that slice through the air, and its breathtaking design, the expression of the most refined Italian taste and craftsmanship.
Lamborghini aerodynamics are the most futuristic ever: the ALA 2.0 system and aero-vectoring ensure minimum drag on straightaways, and optimal aerodynamic load in cornering. The naturally-aspirated V12 engine, with its 770 CV, is the most powerful ever, capable of reaching more than 350 km/h at 8500 rpm, with braking from 100 to 0 km/h in just 31 meters. The interiors are entirely customizable, and the technology is designed to highlight the experience of record-breaking performance.
Driving at race car speeds, hitting 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, hearing the roar of the engine blend with the sound of the wind: these are the adrenaline-pumping experiences you can live aboard the Aventador SVJ Roadster.
Vibrant emotions are made possible by perfect aerodynamics, groundbreaking technology, and a futuristic aesthetic that makes no compromises. This makes the SVJ Roadster ideal for a performance that is nothing less than thrilling.
Sophistication, aggressiveness, lightness, and aeronautics-inspired aerodynamics. The beauty, power, and performance of the SVJ Roadster are guaranteed by ultra-light materials, such as carbon fiber, used for the body and the removable hardtop. The body features air intakes larger than any previous model, more extended side skirts, accentuated aerodynamic profiles, and a lighter and higher-mounted exhaust system.
The hardtop is made using an innovative high-pressure RTM technology that guarantees a product of superior workmanship and quality.
The hood, front fenders, and doors are also made of ultra-light materials, providing a significant reduction in the weight of the car, where every detail is never just an end in itself, and where the emotions are the expression of truly bold performance.
The SVJ Roadster is now even more exclusive with the arrival of the Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster, the limited edition of the iconic V12 super sports car produced in just 63 numbered units. Besides upholding the exceptional performance, handling and aerodynamic superiority of the SVJ, it offers virtually limitless color and trim options that translate into exclusive and exotic new design expressions.
The technological look of carbon fiber – featured in the monocoque, which forms the cockpit and recurring in the doors, seats, central tunnel and console – coexists with a design of clear aeronautical inspiration, while the leather and Alcantara® upholstery add a boldly exclusive touch to the luxurious interiors.
Finally, the exquisite cross-stitching details and notable presence of the SVJ Roadster internal plate confer a truly unique character to this new gem of engineering and highly-refined aesthetics.
Each of the systems at work inside Lamborghini vehicles is a masterpiece of engineering and technology. And the Aventador SVJ Roadster incorporates all the best technologies ever developed by the company. The lateral vehicle dynamics is controlled by a steering system that acts on all four wheels via Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS) and Lamborghini Rear-wheel Steering (LRS), aided by the use of active torque distribution between the front and rear axles (4WD) and aero torque vectoring (ALA). The vertical vehicle dynamics is managed by the Lamborghini Magneto-rheological suspension (LMS) and the active aerodynamics. Finally, the longitudinal dynamics relies on the four-wheel drive system (4WD), the integrated traction control and the new operative logics of the ABS. The LDVA 2.0 system combines all the information gathered through the car’s inertial platform, and determines in real time the optimal settings for any driving condition. The result is perfect performance, absolutely safe and always compelling.
Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva 2.0
Lamborghini’s patented ALA system has been developed to an enhanced level for the Aventador SVJ Roadster, now the ALA 2.0, including new optimized air inlet and aero channel designs. The system has been re-calibrated taking into account the enhanced vehicle’s lateral accelerations.
The ALA system actively varies aero load to achieve high downforce or low drag, depending on dynamic conditions. Electronically-actuated motors open or close active flaps in the front splitter and on the engine bonnet that steer the air-flow, front and rear.
The new Aventador SVJ Roadster offers a unique combination of the active steering system (Lamborghini Dynamic Steering) and the rear steering system (Lamborghini Rear-wheel Steering), ensuring top-of-the-line dynamic performance.
The LDS system adapts to the speed and the selected driving mode, moving between direct steering and a more indirect mode, while the LRS system manages the rear steering axle by means of two electromechanical actuators. Thanks to this system, at low speeds the rear axle steers in the opposite direction of the front axle, generating a virtual reduction of the wheelbase that translates into greater agility and unrivaled performance around corners. At high speed, instead, the two axles rotate in parallel, resulting in a virtual increase of the wheelbase, to ensure full control of the vehicle and excellent stability.
The new Aventador SVJ Roadster features magneto-rheological front and rear shock absorbers with pushrod system, which constantly modify the behavior of the suspensions according to the road conditions and the driving mode selected. In addition to compensating for roll and undesired movements of the vehicle's body, the system was designed specifically to work in concert with the Rear-wheel Steering, thus ensuring a perfect response in any type of condition and allowing ALA to maximize efficiency and downforce, maintaining a constant aerodynamic flow between the bottom of the vehicle and the ground.
The four-wheel drive system of the new Aventador SVJ Roadster was specifically optimized to work together with all the new active systems, in particular Rear-wheel Steering, whose stabilizing effect allows a high percentage of torque to be distributed to the rear wheels. This produces a sportier and more engaging experience at the wheel, without compromising on safety or ease of driving. Working in symbiosis with the car's other active systems, the four-wheel drive system allows for excellent performance and supreme driving pleasure even in situations involving poor grip. The torque distribution between the front and rear axles varies dynamically, in real time, depending on driving conditions, grip as well as the selected driving mode. Moreover, Aventador SVJ Roadster can count on a new generation of Pirelli PZero Corsa tires, conceived to take full advantage of the car’s innovative systems thanks to improved grip and outstanding consistency, thus ensuring superior driving dynamics.
No matter what driving conditions you find yourself in, the new Aventador SVJ Roadster gives you full control thanks to the dynamic mode selector, which lets you optimize engine, transmission, drive, steering, suspensions, and stability control settings by choosing between STRADA, SPORT, CORSA and EGO MODE. This last option allows full customization of every individual setting, for the most personal driving experience ever achieved. By uncoupling the longitudinal, lateral and vertical dynamics, EGO mode makes it possible to obtain the vehicle's top performance at all times and in any condition.
The indomitable V12 engine of Aventador SVJ Roadster stands out for its exceptional design and the advanced technology of its materials. Boasting 770 CV at 8,500 RPMs, and capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 2.98 seconds, Aventador SVJ Roadster provides thrills unlike anything that has ever been experienced before.
The ISR (Independent Shifting Rods) transmission ensures amazingly fast and exciting gear shifts. The design goal was simple: to create an extremely fast robotized transmission, capable of generating unique driving thrills. The ISR gearbox also offers two crucial advantages for the realization of a super sports car: extremely low weight and a size even smaller than a manual gearbox.
The use of carbon fiber and its derivatives is among the characteristics that give the Aventador SVJ Roadster, entirely manufactured at Lamborghini's plant in Sant'Agata Bolognese, its phenomenal driving precision. The monocoque of the Aventador SVJ Roadster offers incredible weight reductions and, at the same time, unprecedented rigidity.
